My 5th grader is already starting to get the occasional break out and has blackheads in a few places. It seems so young to me! I have very different skin and am afraid of being too intense at such a young age. They already wash their face regularly but don’t do much else. I got salicylic acid when they got their first real zit for a spot treatment. I don’t think people lather on the harsh astringents and benzoyl peroxide we used and their skin is very sensitive and dry in patches. What are your very young tweens doing for skin care? It feels like overkill to go to a dermatologist already but I am considering it because I feel so lost.
Don't use those toxins. Just stick to alcohol (isoproply only, NOT ethanol that you drink or is in hand sanitizers, as it overdries the skin) and use some dish detergent on the nose when showering. Other than that learn to squeeze the goo out with a tool or with a tissue and fingers.
Interesting to see that RFK Jr has joined the thread.
