Merchants have to pay the credit card issuer 3% for the 'privilege' of processing the payment. They are just passing on that fee to you vs. eating it or raising prices. I mean, you didn't really think your credit card points were free, did you? Someone pays for them - it was just less transparent to you in the past. [/quote]
