UD is a basketball school - the arena is one of the best in college hoops and it always ranks in the top 20 in the country in attendance.  When I was at school, the players were very visible on campus.  I'm sure this has changed because of the drinking age (it was 19 when I was in school) but after big wins, the players would often show up at the bar.

Both of my kids applied and were awarded very generous merit aid.  Dayton's tuition is fixed for four years - so the amount you pay as a freshman is the same for the next three years.  They decided not to attend UD becuase it was too far away - they wanted to be closer to home.[/quote]
