I got an email from MCPS on 10/29 with the upcoming engagement sessions listed, and it showed Watkins Mill correctly as 11/4, not 11/6.
What was the title of this email? Could you tell us more about this? I did not receive any such correspondence.
It was in the email entitled "Region 3 Community Engagement Sessions / Boundary Studies & Programs Analysis / Oct. 30, 7 pm" that I received around noon on the 29th and also in the updated version of that email they sent about an hour later. The main email was about the Kennedy meeting, but it included a list at the bottom with upcoming sessions. I live in the NEC (region 2) and also have a kid at Blair. Not sure who this email was sent to.
OIC—thanks! Yes all the way at the bottom, under the heading “Additional Regional Sessions (Updated Dates and Locations.)” Given the very specific title of that email ("Region 3 Community Engagement Sessions / Boundary Studies & Programs Analysis / Oct. 30, 7 pm"), I would not assume that in this correspondence would be something as consequential as date changes or cancellations for meetings other than Kennedy’s. Unless I receive an email or text entitled “Updated Dates and Locations and Additional Regional Sessions,” it is normal to assume nothing has changed.
+1 The only partly saving grace is that that all too innocuous notice came out before the Kennedy meeting. If the date had been shifted as a result of that meeting, it would go from incompetence to malpractice.
