There are too many things to name here, but I honestly think we need everything from term limits for congress to an aptitude test for candidates. Someone with a criminal record should be a no go for any public office. My friend had a dui 25 years ago, and Canada didn’t let him in their country last year because of it. But here we are, electing a felon as potus, and people even contemplating how he could still govern from prison if it came to that. What has happened to this country? I am all over the place right now, but basically I hope the pendulum swings back toward having very high standards for our elected officials. They should be the best and brightest in their field. This is how far we have fallen - Dan Quayle was basically ousted from society when he couldn’t spell potato. Trump posted “south carerdddd” and we hardly flinched. [/quote]
