It made the incredible complexity of that kind of situation disarmingly straightforward for people who've been forcefed America's military superiority their whole lives. Yes, we're good. We're DAMN good. And in a situation like the one in this plot, it may/may not be enough. People seem to have this idea that we have infinite resources and absolute protection. That's just not true. Nobody in the film was scripted as inept, just human. Human feelings, human emotions, human variables. There were no obvious mistakes or human glitches, and it still didn't work. That's scary. Then you contrast with who we've got for current leadership as PP pointed out, and it's horrifying. [/quote]
