I have a similar story...3 miscarriages within a year after 2 healthy and uneventful pregnancies. Dr blamed them on AMA and said to keep trying since we could get pregnant easily and that eventually a good one would stick. The latter two were found to have trisomies. The first came back with no issues but my Dr wasn't convinced the lab didn't take appropriate steps to avoid cross contamination with my own genetic material in the sample.

After the 3rd miscarriage, my Dr suggested IVF with PGD. We just completed our first and ONLY round with success. We are currently 7 weeks pregnant with twin girls. Though we are by no means out of the woods as yet, I was convinced that this was the right approach for us when the 3day PGD results showed that only 2 of 9 gorgeous embryos were genetically "normal."

The costs of IVF are huge as are the cost of adoption. Having 2 children at home, we were open to both but felt that IVF was worth a shot since our insurance covered most of it. For us it was about pursuing the path of least regret.
