I was able to read it. Dump your browser cache and it might work. The school opened in a temporary location in Bethesda. Their bus contractor was suspended for quality reasons. They have a fundraiser for $100K to address improving transportation. "Amid all this, the charter school’s enrollment dropped by more than 25%. That decline represents a setback for the business-focused academy, which hopes to grow to hundreds of students in grades six through 12." "The school’s founders had relied on the contractor’s assurances until MCPS flagged its concerns. “MCPS then recommended pausing service until a fully compliant vendor could be identified, and we concurred to prioritize student safety,” Graham wrote in an email."
Funny how MCPS holds them to a higher standard than themselves.
MCPS is going to be blamed either way. I’d rather keep kids safe.
MCPS doesn't keep students safe on their buses and school buildings.
Given the amount of kids that are transported safely everyday and the amount of kids that go to school safely each day clearly MCPS does keep students safe. Are the instances of issues or not so bright spots, sure. But just saying kids are generally unsafe is false. And as someone said, MCPS would certainly catch blame if something happens with the charter school.
