VT is vocal about not wanting kids, even women, to change majors especially into engineering. Its very frustrating. Many 18yo do not know what they want to do and should be able to change their minds. DH and I went to VT and this is the one negative about it on our list.[/quote]

why would it matter if its a woman? You need to have a very strong math foundation in high school to succeed at VT engineering/computer science.[/quote]
