Department of Education has lost a lot of employees this year, not sure if it is "safe" to switch to Education department, whether Education department will be eliminated or not,  or possible job relocation too?

I just want a federal position in DC metro area (till retirement), and I don't want to move (for various reasons). I am not qualified for VERA yet, otherwise I would had taken DRP earlier this year.[/quote]
