Since c) is probably not of much use in MCPS structures, it seems to me that a) and b) are probably what is at stake, and the only way to answer those questions is to ask the teacher - not the school.  The school _may_ be able to provide an explanation or a records check, but only the teacher can actually describe what they are able to do on the ground.

Bear in mind that the truthful answer may be somewhere between not much and nothing (that is how our own experience went, and we could tell without needing to discuss it).  It is almost impossible at some schools, within current strictures, structures, and class sizes, to pull off anything consistent, sustained, and meaningful for enrichment while also meeting the legitimate needs of all other populations.

Do enrichment-level kids deserve to have enrichment?  Of course.  Is it logistically feasible?  Maybe not, or at least not all the time.  Is that a problem?  That depends on your read on the situation and on your family.  We just leaned into extracurriculars that ultimately became really important, while at the same time expecting DCs to do their best work with the curricula they had.[/quote]
