Op here. Dc is freshman and taking regular bio. Teacher asked if they were taking AP bio exam end of this year hence the question [/quote]

No teacher will ask this question. Sounds more like a pushy parent.

Don’t take the AP exam while taking regular high school bio, she won’t do well because the material is not the same in depth and breath. There’s no point in self study for AP exams, her time is better spent elsewhere.[/quote]

Why would the regular Bio teacher ask who is taking the AP Bio exam? It’s not the same course, and it’s not the same material.

Believe it or not, algebra teachers don’t ask who is taking AP Calculus BC.[/quote]
