My son took Algebra 1, Geometry and French in middle school. The grades stay there. His high school transcript starts with Algebra 2, French 2. Not sure why it makes a difference? We didn't think of the classes as "high school" classes, he was just on an accelerated math track in middle school. Everyone took foreign language.
At our private there is literally no way to expunge a credited course from the transcript, even if the course is taken in middle school. So my kids' transcript will include Algebra 1, Geometry, and Spanish from 7th and 8th grade. Because the school has a no expungement rule, they highly encourage the kids to think of these courses as high school courses.
