I bought a few. They do nothing. What worked was strengthening my back and shoulder muscles.
Op here—thanks for this feedback. I was hoping yoga would do the trick, but I’m still slouching a lot. Will be more cognizant about working out my back and shoulder muscles.
DP- I've been doing yoga for 20 years and it did not help with that unfortunately. Pilates, specifically on the reformer, really helped me. It mimics the same strengthening exercises you would do in PT to increase strength and stability in your neck/shoulders AND your core. Try to stand up straight with and without tightening your core- you'll see a difference! The most simple exercise you can do for neck posture and pain are cervical tucks. You can even do this in the car. You can google but here's an example: https://www.athletico.com/2020/10/16/9-exercises-to-strengthen-your-neck-shoulders/
Was coming here to say that Pilates will take care of this for you. Reformer Pilates is more fun and probably more efficient than mat Pilates, but also wuite expensive. I learned how to stand up straight, and developed the strength to do so, from Ana Caban Pilates dvds a couple decades ago. There’s a world of great free YouTube content now, and Peloton has good Pilates classes as well. Good luck!
