Also, keep in mind we are talking about children for the most part, and children make mistakes.  I'm not excusing fighting or poor behavior, just saying if the school handles it and [b]no laws have been broken[/b], it doesn't need to be reported/exploited in the news potentially risking the privacy of students at the school- involved or not involved.  Imagine if every little thing at your high school was highlighted on the evening news.[/quote]

If there was a "melee," which OP described, there would certainly be some violations of law as people would undoubtedly have been assaulted.[/quote]
