I do get some small measure of satisfaction by refusing to work with recruiters in my management capacity if they have ghosted me or my friends in an applicant capacity in the past. Every time we post something, the recruiters come out of the woodwork. I get headhunted a lot, so I have a file full of notes from recruiters.  Even if I have no intention of engaging a recruiter, I'll tell them that we are looking for someone who will be extremely responsive to and caring of our applicants, and so we cannot consider them for the engagement. Just my tiny, probably meaningless blow against an uncaring industry and a demoralizing process. [/quote]
