You use it to cough up phlem/mucus to prevent or ease chest congestion. Sudafed is a nasal decongestant and vasorestrictor. You use it if you cannot sleep due to stuffy swollen sinuses. You have to buy the good kind, that's kept behind the counter at pharmacies and show ID to purchase, because it has ephedrine or pseudoephedrine in them, which can be used as precursors to make meth, etc. [/quote]
