Yes, not enough kids to fill teams, so many are playing in different age groups (e.g. 2013)
Not enough kids to fill one team for any of the 2014G, 2015G, 2014B and 2015B?
If they are missing, then Yes. I know for the girls this is the case. Not sure about boys. They may have teams doing NCSL or something but they struggled a lot last year and heard they were having trouble filling competitive teams.
If they can't fill one team for 2014 (boys or girls), then why in the world would Fairfax Union add them to the alliance?
Are you under the impression that alliance actually matters for anything? Tryouts for every higher level team are open to anyone. They’re not going to take kids from any one team just because they are part of an alliance. It’s purely a marketing tactic.
It’s sad really. If you look at the 2014 girls record only Valor is doing well. Valor! The rest are at the bottom. When Valor is your strongest team in your alliance then your alliance is fake. I can’t imagine that FVU 2014 (and 2015 the following year) will be made up of much from the alliance. I wonder if McLean 2014 will take most of the slots like McLean 2013 did.
