Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday, February 26, 2023, in the 5100 block of Sheriff Road, Northeast. An officer-involved shooting occurred on September 16, 2025, in the 5100 block of Sherier Place NW in Washington, D.C., near the Palisades neighborhood. According to investigators, officers gave the man several orders to drop the knives, but he refused. One officer tried to subdue him with a Taser twice, but it was unsuccessful. The man then charged at the officers, who opened fire.

Those aren't the same location. The first one is on "Sheriff Road" in Northeast. That's over by the Arboretum. The second done is "Sherier Place" in Northwest. [/quote]
