Anywhere near major colleges, early 20s is college age.
I’m talking 25+. The young professionals.
I have two kids in that age range - Arlington/Clarendon/Ballston is where they socialize.
Ballston in particular has attracted a lot of people in their 20s. Part of it is the growth of tech and other jobs in Tyson’s—many wouldnt want to live in Tyson’s sprawl in their 20s, they’re not going to want to live in McLean or Falls Church or similar in their 20s, so Ballston is a close, fun, safe neighborhood that also makes it easy to pop into DC. It also works for couples where one works in Tysons and the other works in DC, Arlington or Alexandria.
