I have high blood pressure and got my Moderna vaxx at cvs in moco this weekend. If you are under the age of 65 you have to schedule through the minute clinic. Over the age of 65 (I asked bc my mom is in her eighties) can just go through the regular pharmacy like we’ve done before. The nurse somewhat gave me a hard time since she kept say the supply is limited and these really should be for ppl over the age of 65 but I explained I have high BP (my rx is in cvs’s system so she could see that) and ultimately she said she wasn’t going to deny anyone the vaccine so long as she can put down in the system why you need it. My teen has adhd so I’ll prob bring her maybe in a week or so once things have calmed down and might try a different cvs since I don’t want to return to this same nurse, who just seemed overall annoyed but I can understand the stress she’s under being on the front lines of this absurdity.
It is hard for them. I have a pharmacist friend and she says they have crazy levels of vaccine demand because people are coming into MD from DC and VA. And rules in various states are changing by the day and it takes time for the companies to program it into their systems even if a governor announces XYZ that day and then people get annoyed because the systems lag that announcement. But yes it appears you can “self-attest” to having one of the ailments above. The sad part is that this is all RFK JR induced damage. Many people who would otherwise get vaxxed are going to decide they don’t have time to deal with the chaos/hassle of navigating all these shifting rules.
