This is whom I was going to recommend.  There was an amazing article written about her in the school paper and what she overcame to become a math teacher.  She just gets the kids, knows how to motivate them, and connects with them on a level you rarely see in public schools.  The kids respect that she demands a lot from them and they rise to the occasion.

Thanks for sharing the link—I actually am one of the students that wrote that article for The Tide! She really is an incredible teacher, and it meant a lot to be able to tell her story.
