Friend moved out of county and planned to move her senior in with her parents, which would've been legit. However, instead, she didn’t move the kid in with her parents and shuttled him from out of county every morning. 🤦‍♀️ Apparently, this came out in some meeting. FCPS said her son could stay if she paid tuition bc the school had capacity. She was upset but this was known upfront. Ugh. “[b]Simple” solution, move kid in with grandparents and make them legal guardians for his senior year[/b]. I feel bad for the kid.

Nope. That would not have worked. One cannot simply name a legal guardian who resides in FCPS for the purpose of attending tuition-free. If the parents were incarcerated or on their deathbed, and unable to care for their children, then they could attend tuition-free.
