They probably need to finalize classes and then they can load the gradebooks. I know DS, an 8th grader, has had some homework assignments and a quiz already. I trust that his teacher is keeping track of things and will enter the grades when they can.
We've been able to enter grades since day 1. Kids just can't see them. My gradebook will appear on your end with a half dozen things in it.
But why can’t we see it? It’s ridiculous. Grades have started like you said.
Probably because kids are still switching classes. Teachers might have access but it could be harder to remove a kid from a grade book once it is in SIS then it is before it is on SIS. I am not an IT person but I can only imagine that the software might be finicky. Kids have had some homework and some might have had a quiz by now, DS had one in geometry and has had homework in geometry and Japanese. That is it. I don’t need to see those right now, next week will be just fine. His geometry teacher told them their grades so he knows how he did.
