I think Porky’s was ahead of its time and Kim Catrall’s performance was underrated. She was typecast for it and it dramatically limited her career. Michelle Pfeiffer ended up getting all the roles that Kim could have likely done just as well or even better. MP is gorgeous, but she was never a truly talented actress.

Brits are better actors. They can do accents and emotion far better than their American counterparts.

Club Paradise should have been a far bigger hit—it should have been a classic on par with Vacation, Caddyshack, etc. but was over shined by Weekend at Bernie’s which was released the same weekend. Their mistake was not casting any teen heartthrobs to draw a younger audience. Nonetheless, Club Paradise has a far better cast and storyline. [/quote]
