I said good chance, and assuming the player is MLSNext/ECNL and can stand out over 3 days of tryouts.

But if you are hoping to make varsity as a freshman, you should already be talking to the coach.

No other DC school "recruits" for sports like SJC. They are very brazen about it, including recruiting players who up and move to DC to play for them. This is vastly different than the coach sending a note to the admissions committee about a particular player or two they want to weigh in on. [/quote]

That's true. But even still, the way the girls side has been run, it's drastically different than other private schools. There are the "recruits" and then everyone else who don't get a second glance. Which is really stupid considering the level of talent so many of these students have. [/quote]
