I brought AI into our company, then the run and maintain phase was outsourced to India and all 5 of us were let go. I just found another job and they asked me to do the same thing - bring AI into the company with the vision that the run and maintain will be done in India. It's cheap labor there - we cannot compete. I make ~400k + bonuses here; my equivalent in India tops out at $100k. The only reason I'm still valuable is cultural and time zone convenience. People here still prefer my accent and cultural references. Probably moreso in the future with the cultural shift in this administration.[/quote]
