We got a deck installed, and extended the house roof to cover it. The extended roof is an /\ shape against the top floor of the house. The middle (top) of the new roof replaced old roof over the kitchen The roof extension is leaking rainwater into deck, at the edge of the kitchen, where the deck starts. This seems bad, and not "OK because the deck is outdoors. Like the roof flashing against the house siding isn't installed properly? Theres a plastic sheath rod thing running along the edge of the siding that is U shaped and wraps around the bottom of the siding on the wall above the roof. But part of it is twisted to its C shape, not U shape. Maybe that is leaking into the roof? Does this sound like warranty call to the builder?
Very common. Hard to find sometimes, but get up there with a water hose and start low and work your way up till you find the leak. You will need a spotter under the roof to yell when they see the leaking.
