[/quote] It is well north, but we've been routed from points north in Westchester down to the Merritt to get to Cape cod bc traffic along that entire Northeast corridor can be wild and the Merritt is still often best. I don't know what route from the DC area would have you as far north as chappaqua to begin with unless you were going to take 84 but conditions changed and you were then rerouted south back to the Merritt?
