They are a slight net hit to overall productivity, but we bring back the interns who are self-starters willing-to-learn, and generally we try to hire them once they graduate college. For both sides it is a kind of test drive. When I was a summer intern at an A&E firm, I learned that I did not want to become a PE. Very valuable to learn that then - rather than learning it later on. [/quote]
