Either that or took easy courses. 4.7/8 W is possible at our local public by taking some easy AP and lots of DE. DE gets a full extra point but is much easier than corresponding AP. These students do not have the right courses to be considered for UVA or even virginia tech in state. They usually go to JMU or out of state to UF, UTK, UGA. Around 30% of the graduating class has 4.0uw. The college acceptances depend on the course load/track more than anything. 3.9uw with max load and "only" 4.5W gets in to UVA over the easier track students. [/quote]
