My DDs still go to the pool with friends, but they definitely no longer want to go with us. They would go to a water park with parents. My 13 yo goes to the neighborhood pool with friends, walks to the Starbucks or for ice cream, goes to the mall, and spends time with friends. Pretty typical stuff. Inside activities with friends are mostly baking and watching dating reality TV shows.[/quote] Yeah at this age if it doesn't involve a a peer i cant imagine my kid wanting to hang out. I don't think yourbkid is too mature, i think you aren't including friends. No teen wants to hang with mom, dad and siblings.[/quote]
