Amalfi is great but it is logistically difficult with this itinerary and can be very expensive in the summer. It is the opposite direction as Florence and Venice. You may be better off at one of the many villa hotels (agriturismo) in Tuscany or even somewhere around Lake Cuomo. Fly into Rome, out of Milan or Venice. You don’t need 4 nights in Rome either, imho. [/quote]
