We play Uno all the time. We take the cards to restaurants. We sit around for sometimes hours after dinner playing and talking. We take them camping. If we forget the cards, we just buy another set. We go to theater a lot. Day trips to NYC. West End when in London. Community theater here and wherever we travel. HS musicals.
I love this and we could be friends in real life I love uno! How many set of cards do you have?
Well, there’s the deck that’s always in my purse, the one on the kitchen table by the salt and pepper, the one that we keep with games and each kid has their own deck. I’ve had Amazon deliver them to hotels if we forget. We’ve tried Uno Attack and some others but really just end up playing with the regular cards. And my youngest is in college now and we still do this. And if we (parents) are away, we often find them at home together around the table. It’s really sweet.
Any weird uno rules or do you stay traditional? In my house dealer sets rules.
Our most important rule is no switching rules mid game. We sometimes stack but honestly we typically just play basic. When my kids play themselves they do different rules. Some of our old decks don’t have the wild card switch hands card.
