I am 60. We just retired and moved back to New England. I am in need of new clothes. Lately, I have been subsisting on Lands Ends for my non-work clothes, but I need more than just polos and pants/shorts.i rarely find things at LLBean anymore. I used to love Talbots for the old “Casual Friday” or “Country Club Casual”, but just went there and found very little. I like more structured clothes and too many things seem to be elastic now. I used to rely on Lord and Taylor too. I am not a small person, even when fit. I tend to straddle the line between the largest sizes in regular and the smallest sizes in Plus depending on the maker and cut. I have a weird body in that I can sometimes get away with pants in Petite and shirts in tall or long. When I am at my fittest, I am a 36 DDD. Currently, I am a 38 DDD. So, buttoned tops tend to gap in the middle. In the old Color Me Beautiful, I was a true Winter. I need some sort of dressy clothes to wear to a get together or a lunch, but not too formal. I also need some traveling clothes for summer and winter. Beyond Talbots and Bean, any other store ideas for an aging traditional prep? (Prefer the jewel tones , navies and not the current garish pink and greens). I’ve never had luck at JJill, Anne Taylor or Chicos.
