Yes, exactly.  I think his brain is stuck in the early 2000s or before, maybe.

I think for some, being a welder and the like is fine, but those types of jobs are hard on the body and certainly not for most people.  Like I said, my dad was a machinist, and he retired at 62 even though the company asked him not to because he was really good at his job (his precision was unmatched). But, he said it was getting too hard physically. He's not a big guy, at all.

My brother is also a small guy, and he went into the military to help pay for college,  barely passed basic training.  When he got out, he went to college and ended up in the IT industry.  My dad did not want him to be a blue collar worker, nor did he really want my brother to stay in the military.  Both my parents had a rough life doing manual labor.  Most manual laborers don't make it to 67, certainly not 69 if the Rs have their way.[/quote]
