I am not a SYC parent but last I checked, going 3-0 in your group satisfies the DCUM investment criteria for winning.  I don’t even believe in their philosophy just disputing the original premise that everybody was wiped out.

If you don’t have the money, don’t go.  You actually don’t know anything about development because you are supporting an “investment is only worth it to win” argument.

Variability and versatility are two of the most important traits missing from US soccer.  The kids WHO ARE FORTUNATE ENOUGH to have the experience of playing in a different environment are much better off than kids who are back home with playing video games with their parents being keyboard warrior-haters on DCUM.

Ideally, IF you have a top player, they should have experience in NJ, SoFlo,
TX, SoCal as well as Europe.  This keeps them humble and aware of the landscape.[/quote]
