WASP grad. 30 years ago, we were told that a liberal arts education prepares you for a wide range of jobs, that we can land something if we “pound the pavement” and find our calling along the way. And that oftentimes, we’ll end up in a line of work that has nothing to do with our major. I found that to be true of many classmates who didn’t come in with plans for med school, law school, etc.[/quote]
