Look the US style of play is big fast physical athletes. This is the college game which is also the ECNL game. There are technically players in the US but the US system pushes them to the side and does not develop that type of talent. The US system does not produce or rely on technical players like the rest of the world does. When you have never played against a technical team with a higher speed of team play you get beat.

The national youth team wins are not important. The important thing is to continually replace older players on the national with new talent. Playing a system that depends on big, fast and physical mean you need to stay young. Any player over 26 really has to be looked at hard. Over 30 no way. If they do that they will always be in contention. Let the rest of the world play the beautiful game.[/quote]
