I agree and disagree.

International soccer is like a culture.  Humans survived because our ability to be social and that instinct is built into the club model internationally.

Barca vs Madrid is way more politics, ethnicity and even language than just ⚽️.

I enjoyed the culture of our first club and I did learn the 🇺🇸 lesson that I should not put the club first.  They had a great culture but not the best environment for the actual development of my child so now I am loyal to whatever club or league will develop my child best.

This post is really aimed at the ECNL crew.  I don’t see MLS Next hats and car magnets but I sure see the ECNL and hear from them often.[/quote]

You are a reasonable person.  Thank you for existing.  OP here and I happen to learn my lesson in the first month of my sons playing youth soccer.  Invest in your kids.  Bet on your kids.  Leave club/league worship to the losers.  [/quote]
