So if you don't know that your kid is reading that COULD be why. But you should definitely ask the English teacher (in person, email, Talking Points, whatever) what books the students are reading so you can make sure it's happening AND reinforce at home that it's important. Scary that some college students are saying they have never read a full novel on their own...that's on us parents and on teachers (but more on parents in my opinion). [/quote]
