There seems to be a fundamental misunderstanding about the value of confidential informants and the use of the witness protection program. Ovidio Guzman Lopez was extradited to the U.S. in 2023 and has been in custody ever since while awaiting trial. His detailed and expansive knowledge of the Sinaloa Cartel’s organizational structure is a roadmap for the DOJ to dismantle the cartel. He made a deal. This happens all the time. He wasn’t brought into the country by Trump. He was already here. His family recently crossed the border so they wouldn’t be slaughtered by cartel members. Most people here would call that “asylum,” but that doesn’t comport with your manufactured narrative about this. The family was immediately whisked away by federal agents. https://apnews.com/article/el-chapo-sinaloa-cartel-trump-border-harfuch-86572a31c88a216da7cd5f33006a0011
You reek of desperation to whitewash this example of the Trump administration’s hypocrisy around migrants.
It’s literally the other way around. Posters here are twisting themselves into repeated knots across several topics to promote this as some sort of ironic back door immigration arrangement that runs counter to the administration’s crackdown on illegal migrants. If you say the Trump administration brought a cartel felon into the country that is a lie. He was extradited to the U.S. during the Biden administration. When you conflate the entry of a family under verifiable imminent threat of death from the major Mexican drug cartel to someone who logged into the CBP One app to gain entry and are released into the U.S. it’s so painfully obtuse that it discredits everything else you say. The family of the cartel member was met by federal agents and taken to a safe location where they will receive new names, new back stories, and a new home somewhere in the country. They will be constantly monitored for their safety because they are marked for death. They sure as hell aren’t got aways and they will never be deported by ICE.
