https://ira.virginia.edu/university-data-home/undergraduate-gpa Anyone know what caused the huge increase in average GPA? I thought maybe it was because of distance learning but the increase seems to be persisting?
Uva is showing the same post-covid inflation as William and Mary. WM is slightly higher (3.6)based on numbers they release to greek organizations comparing greek and overall. Ivies range from 3.65-3.85 avg these days. More companies are beginning to scrutinize the courses taken and some ask for SAT. The top ones already preferred ivy+ so uva needs to keep gpa inflation approaching top schools to continue to be right under top targets. Vanderbilt does the same.
