Trump is pulling all of the levers at his disposal to get control of illegal situations (antisemitism, disguised DEI, Title IX violations) that universities refuse to control. Instead of complying with the law, Harvard and other schools have chosen to fight him in the courts (international student program). While the courts have temporarily ruled in their favor, Trump is pulling levers that no judge has any right to interfere with under the Constitution (visa reviews). Universities are making things worse for themselves, instead of negotiating appropriate solutions. Disagree with him all you like. Call him any name you like. He is the President of the United States and has the authority of that office.
Authority of the office. See, that’s where you are both confused. He thinks that he has much more power than he does. This overreach might actually work out in favor of the country because he’s losing all at once and has nothing prepared to battle in the courts. He’s just stream of consciousness blurting out out BS and having tantrums and then trying to get under qualified and outgunned people to fight the battles. America will win, Taco will lose.
