Here in DTSS we have people zoned for all kinds of different high school despite living super close to each other. I know only a minority of students get into immersion, but my kids attend a program that is walkable to our house but zoned for all different schools. The DCC gives us a sense of being able to opt to stay with friends in high school, so it does serve a sense of community for us. I know we’re a minority but I also think the geography is complicated and weird in this part of town.[/quote]
