[/quote] ^^PS, just to add, if your son is a minor then you should go ahead and renounce his US citizenship before he has assets and gets hit with an exit tax. Having US citizenship also can make it difficult to open certain foreign bank accounts, so there are lot of potential headaches. I am a dual US-EU citizen and so am familiar with these issues.
