Op here. I’ll add I have never used the bathroom in front of friends either - my groups were never that open with each other fwiw.

I can see how it can be endearing for mom that her son even at 20 is open to talking to her in as another PP said, the informal pop up even if mom is doing her business moments. [/quote]
I don’t know that I agree. I don’t think even two grown men like to chat at the urinal. I wouldn’t be comfortable with my son doing this, or my daughter doing this with her father. But two women? Historically speaking, this isn’t weird. We give birth in front of women, what’s taking a pee? [/quote]
