Here is the section that explains what counts Four Credits in English are Required for Graduation GRADE 9 English 9A and 9B OR English 9A and 9B Honors GRADE 10 English 10A and 10B OR English 10A and 10B Honors GRADE 11 English 11A and 11B OR English 11A and 11B Honors OR Advanced Placement English GRADE 12 English 12A and 12B OR English 12A and 12B Honors OR Advanced Placement English
Clearly that is not true because there is a version of AP Seminar that counts for 10th grade. Additionally students in the IB program get credit for the IB classes which are listed further down. Further the graduation requirement states “4 credits of organized instruction in comprehension of literary and informational texts, writing, speaking and listening, language, and literacy, of which 1 credit shall be aligned with the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) for English.” Based on that why would a student not be able to take Media in Society and Culture in Literature. Not only do they cover the graduation requirement but seem really relevant given current times.
