To quote it, since most people don't have a subscription, "To start this fall, Crimson had 1,636 students apply to U.S. colleges. Beaton said 294 applications from Crimson students to Ivy League universities were accepted."

This. It’s notable that the unit of measure changes from students to applications. It’s not 300ish students out of 1600+ clients, it’s 300ish applications out of the probably more than 16,000 applications those clients submitted. [/quote]
