If true, it’s probably due to two things: 1. American children are less likely to die of diseases that kill children in poorer countries, but are often left with chronic illnesses. 2. American children are less likely to have access to universal healthcare that children in developed countries have. This means problems go undetected longer and are not treated until they become more difficult to treat.[/quote]
